nSBRC - Self Build and Renovation

Discover how to 'Go Green' with our Team of Experts

With the amount of information available on how to make your home more eco-friendly, it can often feel a little daunting and leave you unsure of where to start. Our friendly team at the NSBRC are here to cut through the confusion and help to answer all of your questions on going green, no matter how big or small. Whether your project is already in full swing, or you’re just putting together initial ideas, we can help to guide you along the way and ensure everything runs smoothly.

Bring along your plans, blueprints and ideas to take advantage of free one-to-one sessions with our professional architects, project managers, designers and eco-consultants. We have some of the most respected experts in the industry at the show, all on hand to provide their free and impartial advice. They will be happy to talk through your plans, answer any of your questions and offer their professional opinion on the steps to take to next.

We’ll also be hosting seminars throughout the weekend, featuring experts including Dave Hilton and Sue Dewhirst, covering everything from ‘Fabric First’ building principles, the latest technologies including Heat Pumps, Mechanical Ventilation and Heat Recovery systems and Solar panels to advice on gaining planning permission and government grants.

Interactive Live Demonstrations will run each day so you can watch sections of a house being built and get close up to a range of cco building systems including Timber Frame, Ceramic Blocks, Insulated Concrete Formwork (ICF) and traditional Oak Frame.

Whether you’re looking for help with eco-friendly home renovations or a large scale green self build project, you’ll find everything you could need at The Big Green Home Show. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to gain extra clarity and a valuable second opinion from those who know best.
