Friday 31st January - Sunday 2nd February 2020
At The National Self Build & Renovation Show, we are looking forward to welcoming over three thousand people who will be exploring a range of topics from planning and plot finding, to smart homes and solar panels. The show will be held at our Self Build Visitor Centre, with our winter show benefiting from the growth in popularity for self build projects.
Our show offers a packed three days of live demonstrations, seminars and an unrivalled line up of experts on hand to share their homebuilding advice. If you are thinking about extending your home, renovating a tired property or buying a plot of land and building a brand new home, then this is the show for you!
We are pleased to announce that The National Self Build and Renovation Show is being officially opened by Richard Bacon MP on Friday 31st January. Richard introduced the bill that led to the ‘Self-Build and Custom Housebuilding Act 2015’ and has been a champion of self build ever since. He will be giving an update to eager home builders on the ‘Right to Build’ which ensure local authorities measure and meet local demand for individual housing plots. We are delighted to welcome Richard Bacon MP to the NSBRC. This follows on from a visit by the Chancellor of the Exchequer in November and shows that the government is serious about making self build accessible. This is important because it encourages better housing as self build homes are well designed and energy efficient.

Team NSBRC are excited to begin 2020, the Year of Self Build, with a busy show, following on from a successful 2019. One of our key achievements from 2019 is the launch of our first ever TV advert campaign. You may have noticed the NSBRC’s 30 second advert running on Channel 4’s digital TV catch up service on the ‘Homes on 4’ programmes such as Grand Designs and George Clarkes Amazing Spaces. Our advert shows viewers what they can expect to find at our unique Visitor Centre in Swindon and what the NSBRC offers to budding home builders.
The National Self Build & Renovation Show is easy to get to with the NSBRC located on Junction 16 of the M4 and parking is free.
