Annual Sustainability Report 2025

We are proud to share our first-ever Annual Sustainability Report, marking a major milestone in our commitment to environmental responsibility and ethical business practice - or as we like to call it: Better Sustainable Business.

Beyond using our platform to help over a quarter of a million visitors create Better Sustainable Homes since we opened our doors in 2007, we recognise that running our business has its own impact on the world around us. It's a cornerstone of our Employee Owned ethos that we are committed to seeking out ethical and sustainable practices, which contribute to the wellbeing of our planet, our community and our industry.

This report details the NSBRC’s environmental impact, and our achievements in this space.

Take a look at the full report here.

Notably, we have reduced our CO₂ emissions by 23% over the past three years, as well as reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill, by 17% during 2024/25.

Sustainable travel is also on the rise. Electric vehicles now make up 54% of our team’s commuting mileage, supported by our salary sacrifice scheme and on-site EV charging facilities that make low-emission travel more accessible to staff, partners and visitors.
