You might have heard we recently celebrated 10 years of employee ownership at the Centre, hosting a special dinner and awards ceremony back in June. We are proud to mark this significant milestone in 2024 through the commitment, collaboration, and hard work of the NSBRC team over the years.
During the awards ceremony, we were delighted to honour Kelly Boyce, one of our newest team members, with the ‘Employee Owner of the Year’ award as a testament to the exceptional dedication and valuable contributions Kelly has made since joining back in 2023.
In the run up to Autumn’s National Self Build & Renovation Show, we’ve teamed up with Swindon-based Visual PR to produce an online talk show, consisting of three episodes in the run-up, as well as a live broadcast on the first day of the Show in October. We’re hoping to create some excitement around what you can expect at the show and the benefits of attending.

On Saturday 10th August we enjoyed a very good Eco Workshop - our busiest workshop for a year - as we welcomed 225 adults who attended to gain valuable knowledge on a range of modern heating options and renewable technologies.

The National Self Build & Renovation Centre (NSBRC), has reached a notable milestone. In 2024 we are celebrating ten years of employee ownership, with our new company (The Homebuilding Centre Ltd) having been formed back in 2014 to operate the much-loved venue, which is dedicated to offering independent homebuilding advice & support.
