NSBRC Update: Work taking place in March 2026

Exciting changes are happening at the centre! To make way for new exhibits, some of the old ones need to be taken down, which means building work will be taking place. This work will continue on weekdays throughout March, but we’ll still be open for visits as usual.

Visitor numbers were up 15% in February compared to 2025, and if you have visited over the last few weeks, you will no doubt have seen (and heard!) work taking place as we remove two large exhibits in order to make way for some new features, which will be announced shortly (watch this space!)

Work will continue to take place during weekdays in March. We’ll still be open for visits as usual - but the Centre may be a little noisier and colder than usual. We recommend bringing an extra layer to stay comfortable while you explore.

No work will be taking place during our Market Day (Friday 13th March) and our Renovation Workshop (Friday 13th & Saturday 14th March).

Thank you in advance for your support as we continue to improve and develop our offerings. We look forward to welcoming you soon!

Our Managing Director, Harvey Fremlin, gives an update on the centre's building works.
