Stand58GrandOpening0123Collarge4.jpg

Total Home Environment are one of the founding partners exhibiting at the NSBRC since 2007 and were thrilled to officially open their new stand at the centre’s first show of 2023!

Champagne, goodies and a competition brought a good crowd at the event on 28th January.

Visitor, Maria Zelenskaya is “…delighted to have won the competition…” and will be looking to specify the HPV Series (a Passivhaus Certified heat pump ventilation system that provides not only heat recovery ventilation, but also very energy efficient heating, cooling and hot water) into her newbuild home… that is… when they can get past planning!

Michael Hunt, MD of Total Home Environment said he was “…really pleased to be able to exhibit all the company’s products on one stand, so that people can make an informed decision on the best heating and ventilation solution for their home.”

Total Home Environment design, supply and install heat recovery ventilation, heat pump ventilation, compact service units, air source heat pumps and central vacuums, everything to keep your home as healthy, energy efficient and as clean as possible. Total Home have been established for 25 years and you can view their products on stand 58 when you visit the centre.

Allister Godfrey Architects: A secluded Woodland Home

hurst_feature.jpg

The conversion of a workshop building in Oxford’s Greenbelt into a two-bedroom dwelling, designed by Allister Godfrey Architects, has been featured in Build It magazine.

With expansive views across The Vale of The White Horse, our design created double-height living and dining areas with large windows to maximise the panorama. With sustainability in mind, the property is clad in treated softwood and a steel alternative to zinc made with rapeseed oil whilst part of the old building was sold on eBay.

An air source heat pump powers the underfloor heating, which, along with a well-insulated design means monthly costs are kept low.

Scandinavian Homes: Can you really build an energy efficient log mobile home?

Cornwall log home in progress.JPG

You might think of a mobile home as temporary accommodation while you’re building your ‘forever home’, or for holidaying in; not somewhere you’d feel warm and cosy in Winter!

But with a highly insulated log mobile home, you really can live in one permanently.
Mobile homes don't have to meet building regulations, but you can actually create one which is virtually Passiv standard - definitely not your average caravan!
See our beautifully warm log mobile home in Cornwall - comfortably cool in the 2022 heatwave yet barely needed heating during the December cold snap.
