On Thursday 8th June we welcomed Heidi Alexander, Labourās parliamentary candidate in South Swindon along with Janine Howarth, member for housing with Swindon Borough Council.
We began with a short walking tour of the Centre's educational resources with the team, and provided an overview of the NSBRC's history, current projects and future plans, delivered by Harvey. We then discussed the potential for self build to deliver better, energy efficient homes and the power of employee-ownership to transform businesses.

The National Self Build & Renovation Centre (NSBRC), has reached a notable milestone. In 2024 we are celebrating ten years of employee ownership, with our new company (The Homebuilding Centre Ltd) having been formed back in 2014 to operate the much-loved venue, which is dedicated to offering independent homebuilding advice & support.
Our Trade Village is home to over 200Ā permanent exhibitors,Ā chosen for their respected, relevant offerings and their knowledge of the self build and renovation community.
