RK Door Systems: A Traditional Twist!

RK Door Systems has been a national leader in manufacturing and installing bespoke entrance doors for over 10 years. We are passionate about discovering new design trends and ideas, which we implement into our doors. We have installed thousands of unique doors, and our latest model, RK1950, has become popular among traditional and modern homeowners alike. Our doors are entirely made of aluminium, and have PAS24:2022 & ‘Secure By Design’ accreditation, making them maintenance-free and highly secure.

This twist on traditional is proving popular because most traditional doors are made of timber and require regular maintenance. Additionally, they don't always offer great security or thermal performance. However, our latest model, with a u-value as low as 0.69wm2, is suitable for passive houses.

If you're interested in a bespoke entrance door, the RK1950 might be the perfect starting point. However, all our doors are completely bespoke, and we invite anyone interested to visit our showroom or contact our friendly designers.

Heat pumps work better with Showersave in new builds

As the use of heat pumps becomes more prevalent in new build homes, so too does the challenge of providing domestic hot water, efficiently and cost effectively.

A recent study by The Centre for Sustainable Technologies has revealed the undisputed benefits of installing Showersave Waste water heat recovery system, alongside heat pumps.

The study, which was reported on by Chris Martin from the Energy Monitoring Company, concluded that installing Showersave alongside a heat pump, will ensure higher efficiency and significantly reduced running costs.
