As the UK’s leading organisation representing the structural timber sector and associated supply chain companies, the STA exists to represent the collective interest of its members by providing confidence in the use of structural timber across the construction industry.
The STA works to influence legislation and regulation and by connecting construction professionals we support and collaborate with members to showcase the many benefits of structural timber. The STA provides exclusive member benefits including research and testing, networking opportunities, direct engagement with government and industry bodies and more specifically the STA Assure Quality Assurance Scheme – STA Assure.
STA Assure is designed to benefit both clients and members by promoting the differing accreditations and quality standards held by individual STA member companies. This scheme offers reassurances to the construction community that members meet or even exceed current legislation and regulatory requirements.
We have members who focus solely on the self build market and will support you through the whole design and build process, and with advancements in offsite technology, self builders can also benefit from the enhanced value structural timber can bring to projects.
