NSBRC Featured on BBC1’s Politics South

We’re pleased to share that the National Self Build & Renovation Centre was featured on BBC1’s Politics South on Sunday 29th June.

The programme, hosted by Peter Henley, explores current political issues across the South of England. In this episode, our MD Harvey was invited to discuss the importance of energy efficiency in our homes - a topic that’s becoming ever more critical as we face more extreme weather conditions and rising energy costs.

Harvey spoke about the need to build homes that perform well all year round - homes that stay cool in the summer, warm in the winter, and use less energy overall. As he pointed out, new homes in the UK must be better insulated, not just for comfort, but for long-term sustainability, affordability, and to meet our environmental goals.

This short segment underlined the value of thoughtful design and high-quality construction - principles that lie at the heart of everything we promote at the NSBRC.
