Kilmory House: a live case study with self-builder Peter Neville
Join Peter and Total Home Environment at the NSBRC October Show to hear his journey towards energy-efficiency and the decisions that shaped this stunning modern hillside home, built amongst the treetops!
Peter wanted to get as close to Passivhaus standards as practically possible, so he utilised a timber frame structure, high levels of insulation and triple-glazed windows, which assisted in minimising his home’s heating demand, providing the foundations for year-round comfort.
Total Home Environment designed, supplied and installed an HPV Series and HPW 300 heat pump ventilation system, which provides heat recovery ventilation, efficient space heating, comfort cooling and domestic hot water. Working quietly in the background, the system brings fresh, filtered air into the home whilst maintaining comfortable indoor temperatures and a healthy environment year-round.
Peter will give you a realistic view of his self-build journey and why he chose heat pump ventilation. He’ll also share how he prepared to have the HPV Series installed and what it’s like to live with.
