The Bat Conservation Trust

The Bat Conservation Trust formed in 1991 and is the leading non-governmental organisation in the United Kingdom solely devoted to the conservation of our protected bats and the landscapes on which they rely.

Bats are unique, playing a vital role in our environment but during the last century populations suffered severe declines. We’re working to secure the future of bats through tackling threats to their survival but also highlighting opportunities which benefit bats and people, such as our work in the built environment.

This article (please click here to view)outlines how those involved in the self-build or renovation industry can support bat conservation, adhere to the legislation and access best practice training.
