Traditional Oak framing is a centuries old technique that is ever more relevant to construction today with quick build times, thermally insulating properties, and visual appeal.

At Made in Oak we only source sustainably grown timber for our builds. Building in timber reduces your project’s carbon footprint with materials that are fully recyclable at end of life.

Comfort Matters with Green Building Store’s new windows and door range

Green Building Store believes you thrive in the places where you experience comfort that’s why it’s launched its most energy efficient windows and doors range ever.

The new range introduces a slimmer frame whilst maintaining dual compression seals for achieving high airtightness standards. By improving the very fabric of your building and making it more energy efficient and a healthier place to be, the new range of windows and doors will make a discernible difference to the comfort of your home by keeping it warm during the colder months and cooler during the summer.

The new range can be viewed in person at the NSBRC and online here.

Slate cladding provides the natural solution for new costal self-build project

CUPA PIZARRAS’ CUPACLAD 101 Logic was recently installed as part of a striking new-build project, located in Aberystwyth, Wales. The natural slate cladding was chosen because it could complement the coastal surroundings as well as provide outstanding resistance to the harsh weather conditions.

The site was purchased by homeowners, David and Shirley who looked to extend the pre-existing bungalow but after finding significant issues with its structure, opted instead to erect a new build on the same plot. To read the full case study, please click here
