The Conference brought together operatives from across the sector; from planners, to custom build enablers, to land promoters and proved to be a positive day rich with market insights. The agenda covered the following subjects, discussing key issues and trends for activity within the sector:
- Custom Build Models
- Measuring Demand
- Percentage Policies
- Self Build Registers
- Planning System
- Market Prospects
- Economic Case for CSB
These topics were discussed by a range of influential speakers, including the sector’s political champion, Richard Bacon, MP, as well as Homes England and other leading industry figures. NaCSBA also presented data from their annual Business Confidence Survey, and following this, NSBRC’s Harvey Fremlin shared the Centre’s Consumer Aspirations Survey (run in partnership with NaCSBA).
Delegates also enjoyed a complimentary networking buffet lunch and a chance to look around the Centre’s exhibits and offerings – the must-visit venue for every self builder.
As well as receiving the latest industry news from the various seminars, NaCSBA members also left with a copy of the 2023/24 Custom and Self Build Report, packed with essential custom and self build policy and data analysis, as part of their membership (starting at £165 +VAT for sole traders). We hope those in attendance found the day to be beneficial and informative in equal measures, and thank all delegates for their continued support in the work carried out by both NaCSBA the NSBRC.
