Heat pump grants worth £5,000 to help replace gas boilers – Is this the right option for you?

If you’ve seen today’s news you’ll know the big story is that homeowners in England and Wales will be offered subsidies of £5,000, from next April, to help them to replace old gas boilers with low-carbon heat pumps.

The grants are part of the government's £3.9bn plan to reduce carbon emissions from heating homes and other buildings, with the UK needing to reduce emissions by at least 68% on 1998 levels to meet our stated targets.

We know that our visitors are ahead of the curve.

In our recent consumer survey, 96% of NSBRC visitors said they believe it is very important their home is built to achieve maximum energy efficiency.  And attendees to last weekend’s Autumn show will have seen that our Heating Surgeries were by far the most popular sessions during the event.

There are a lot of questions to ask however. What exactly is a heat pump and how much will one cost? And is it the right solution for your home project?
We have two focused events coming up that can help you decide.
