It’s always a pleasure to welcome visitors from near and far (and meet some of our virtual attendees in person!) and the team enjoyed, once again, experiencing the distinct ‘buzz’ throughout the Centre that only comes with a successful live event.
A key highlights for this event included our new ‘Energy Crisis’ sessions, developed based on recent visitor feedback – for which it’ll come as no surprise that there is a clear demand in current times. We hosted our popular ‘Heat & Energy Question Time’ and a dedicated ‘Solar PV Surgery’ with our panel of experts in the Build It Theatre that was well attended both days.
Additionally, we offered guided expert tours of our life-sized educational exhibits, and 1:2:1 expert appointments covering topics from architectural design, building regulations, planning, project management and landscaping - to name just a few.
If you were unable to join us over the Show weekend, don’t worry - as there are plenty of opportunities to continue project research for the rest of 2022, both in-person and virtually.
Our live events coming up at the Centre include:
- Eco Workshop: Sustainable Homes – New Build & Retrofit – Saturday 12th November
- Passivhaus Workshop – Friday 25th & Saturday 26th November
- Building Systems Workshop - Friday 9th & Saturday 10th December
We also have three online surgeries coming up that you may be interested in attending (delivered via Zoom):
- Thursday 29th September – Landscaping & Garden Design
- Tuesday 11th October – Insulation
- Tuesday 29th November – Barn Conversions
We’d, once again, like to extend a warm ‘thank you’ to all in attendance. We wish you all the best with your homebuilding plans and look forward to welcoming you back soon. Remember, we’re open, six days a week, Tuesday to Sunday - all year round!
If you enjoyed the show, we’d really appreciate a positive Google review. It makes a big difference to our team of employee-owners – who, as I hope we displayed, really care about what we do.
